The role of plasticizers in environmentally friendly materials

06/09/2022

This time, what I want to share with you is the fully biodegradable material -plasticizer
Fully biodegradable material - plasticizer
More than 300 million tons of plastics are produced globally each year. And these plastic products cannot be degraded, we use it once a day,
Even 10 seconds of a piece of plastic will stay on this planet forever...
Pollution of natural resources often affects the whole body…
marine animals suffer
To date, all turtle species, more than two-thirds of seal species,
One third of whale species, one quarter of seabird species,
They are all in the pain of being entangled in plastic...
Every year, more than one million marine life stops breathing due to plastic pollution
researchers found
The average mussel contains about 900 plastic particles
while six oysters contain about 500 particles
A prawn contains an astonishing 9,000 particles
„„
"Microplastics", which are plastic particles less than 5 mm in volume
They are entering the food we eat, the water we drink
even breathing air
Microplastics attract bacteria, contain toxic chemicals
will cause irreversible damage to the human body
Tackling the plastic pollution crisis
Global "plastic ban"
On December 4, 2018, the United Nations announced the launch of a global anti-plastic pollution action
In early May 2019, plastic waste was included in the global import and export restrictions
By the end of the day, more than
: including the United Kingdom, France, EU member states, Chile, Australia, India, South Korea, Iceland, New York State, USA,
Washington, USA, Sao Paulo, Brazil...
China's "plastic ban"
The total production of plastic products in China accounts for about 25% of the global total
In February 2019, Hainan's plastic restriction order was upgraded to a plastic ban order, and by the end of 2025, the production, sale and use of plastic products listed in the "List" will be completely banned.
In August 2019, 8 departments of Jiangsu Province jointly issued a document to achieve 50% degradable packaging materials by 2020
In August 2019, Hubei will usher in the strictest "plastic restriction order" in history
On June 5, 2019, the Premier of the State Council presided over an executive meeting of the State Council and passed the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste (Revised Draft)
The "Draft" clearly proposes to prevent excessive packaging from causing environmental pollution; prohibit the production and sale of non-degradable film coverings and commodity packaging
and other terms, and advocate the recycling of packaging
The main force of the future market
- Ideal biodegradable plastic
what is 01
• A class of microorganisms that are degraded by the action of naturally occurring microorganisms such as bacteria, molds (fungi) and algae
plastic
• The ideal biodegradable plastic is one that has excellent performance and can be completely destroyed by environmental microorganisms after being discarded.
Polymer materials that are decomposed and eventually mineralized to become an integral part of the carbon cycle in nature
02. We also hope
1. Effective
2. Does not change the physical properties of plastics
3. Do not change the production equipment
4. To achieve favorable landfill for the environment
5. Recyclable
6. No composting required
7. Low cost
8. Do not change the process conditions
9. No toxic residues
10. Don’t waste food
11. Does not produce microplastics
Fully biodegradable material ECO
The perfect solution to the plastic pollution crisis
• At the end of 2016, E c o p l a s t i c s T e c h n o l o g y L i m i t e d was established
• In 2017, the Eco team flew around the world to showcase Eco, company after company,
At the same time, within the team, various types of plastic, rubber, foam, textile
Conduct testing and ASTM biodegradation testing for compliance documentation
• In 2018, hundreds of companies worldwide used our functional masterbatches in their products,
The degradation effect has been recognized by customers around the world
• In a world of false claims and misinformation, Eco becomes the icon for truly sustainable products
sign
• Around the world concerned about plastic pollution and protecting the homeland: UK, US, India,
Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Italy and other countries and regions;
When alive, coffee cups, packaging bags, spandex, toys, gifts, daily necessities, etc.
In the field, there is already a figure of Eco...
• In 2019, Eco came to China

What is ECO
ECO is an organic additive that is used to accelerate the production of plastic, rubber and PS foam products in full active anaerobic production.
in landfills (landfills and deep seas)
The process of making the plastic biodegradable is mixed with the existing plastic material, directly blended and then extruded through the hopper
machine. It can also be added online in proportion with a quantitative weighing system.
According to different types of plastics and different models, they are all added at a rate of 1%.
Application range: any polymer type such as PVC, PET, PP, PO, PE, PC, PS, etc.
Compliant with F D A / E U / G B standard and R E A C H, ISO, R o H S, E F S A, E I N EC S, C F IA safety, can be repeated many times
Recycle
ECO products are made by infusing traditional plastics with anaerobic organic additives that degrade plastics through chemical activity caused by bacteria.
Introduce a biodegradation stage, leaving only natural gas and bioenergy at the end

How ECO Achieves Biodegradation of Plastics
01. ECO introduces plastics into a biodegradable anaerobic environment through a series of chemical and biological procedures. The procedure, called bioassimilation ECO, allows microorganisms to create a biofilm structure to penetrate the plastic. This biofilm forms only in the absence of oxygen/anaerobic conditions, i.e. in landfills and deep seas
02. ECO helps expand molecular structures, creating more space for microbes and sending out chemical signals on the polymer chain that attract other microbes to eat plastic
ECO has helped break chemical bonds, increasing the rate of biodegradation. ECO makes plastic products only
Carbon dioxide, biogas and humus (organic matter) are produced. This is the same organism as organic matter
Process and residue are the same

How ECOs Work
ECO's most natural life-terminator
We process petroleum products into various plastics
plastic products, and ECO plasticizers attract tired
Aerobic bacteria anaerobic organisms biochemically plastic products
reduction to the original state before the formation of petroleum
An organic corrosive, forming a closed ring.

Features of ECO
01. It is an environmentally friendly landfill specially developed for biodegradation in anaerobic landfills.
Biodegradation in landfills: With the addition of ECO, plastics can
Oxygen digestion biodegrades in landfills and can be used in households
Naturally decomposes in compost. Tested according to ASTM D5511
02. Clean and renewable energy: carbon dioxide, biogas and biomass (humus) tested according to ASTM D5511
03. Clean and safe: Biodegradation takes about 1-5 years, and there is no residue after the biodegradation process is completed. Just like organic matter, microorganisms will continue to eat the ECO treated plastic until nothing is consumed, and the rest of the materials are natural of. Tested and passed ASTM E1963 BDP simply enhances natural processes by allowing microorganisms to enter the polymer chain
04. There is no change in the physical properties of the plastic: ECO is an additive based on substances like amino acids, so it will not affect the performance of the plastic (as of now, no feedback has been received on product quality issues, appearance, strength, touch, stability No change in performance and longevity, same as traditional plastic)
05. No need to replace production equipment: After adding ECO in the production process, there is no need to add equipment or make any changes to the current manufacturing machinery and incur costs, just use traditional mixers. ECO is a technology that is easy and fast to add on demand
06. Scope of application: ECO is suitable for any polymer type such as PVC, PET, PP, PO, PE, PC, PS, etc. ECO complies with FDA and EU, Toxic Substance Control Act (USA), EINECS, CFIA standards
07. Recyclable: ECO does not affect the recyclability of plastics. Plastics with ECO are not only anaerobic
Degradation characteristics and can be recycled multiple times without affecting the existing recycling system
